Letting go of toxic energy: Life Cleanse
Recently I did an activity with my dancers that I teach about letting go of everything that is holding us back from reaching our best self. Insecurities, fears, mistakes, excuses, toxic people, and any other negative energy that is taking up space in our minds, needed to be let go. I had them write down on a little sticky note every single thing that was not aiding to making us better, roll it up, and place it inside a balloon. After blowing the balloons up, we went outside and promised that once we let go of the balloon, we would let go of the negativity we were holding onto.
To live a positive life, you have to be confident and content with where you are in life and who you are becoming.
You must love yourself to share the positive energy with others.
Over the past couple years, I have been letting these types of negative energies get to me and change who I am. Instead of letting these things build me into a stronger individual, I was allowing them to tear me down. I was worrying, stressing, and accepting the negative energy. As much as I love teaching and making a difference, it was breaking me down. I wasn’t enjoying the person I was becoming.
Not anymore.
Once I realized that just as any other experience I have encountered in life, God has placed me in this career field for a reason. I have a purpose and after questioning if this is where I am truly supposed to be, God directed me to be still.
“Worrying implies that you are not trusting God completely.” Every situation, test, is meant to build and prep you for the future. I have learned to accept the hard times and value the lessons learned throughout the complicated times. “This too shall pass.” Words of wisdom I have been given by so many people that I cherish. And they’re right.
When negative energy comes to you, take a deep breath, believe in who you are, know that what you are doing is right. Don’t ignore the complications. Welcome them. Remember, you were not placed on this Earth to be perfect. You grow and improve yourself with every situation you go through.
Life is precious and there is too much beauty around you to let anything or anyone get your down for too long. Rise up and move forward.

I seen your tweet about the election and I clicked on your twitter page and then your blog. This article came through just when I needed it, it’s crazy how God communicates. Thanks so much.
It’s not by chance. I hope the best your way💙
I need this more than ever these days.
Thank you for this post of positivity !
Of course! You’re welcome!
I love this. I try hard to live positively, come what may, and remember that worry and stress change nothing about your situation. I cannot stand being around negative people, so I want to be someone I would enjoy being around!
Great advice! After having a horrible weekend, I need to have a positive no negative energy day.

It is important to get rid of toxic energy. All it does is cause bad things

I am so thankful for your blog, this one made me realize I am worrying about something that I shouldn’t be and to just keep faith that it will turn out in a positive way. Thank you .
