Where should I be applying perfume to make it last all day long? Neck? Wrong! You want to apply perfume to body parts that have pulse points and parts that produce heat. Behind your knees, inside of the elbow, behind your ears, and on the wrist are the locations you want to aim for. These will keep you smelling lovely all day.
How do I properly apply concealer? Always apply foundation first and concealer second. (You’ll wipe off concealer while trying to apply foundation=waste of money!) By drawing a triangle with the concealer, as seen in the picture, you open up your entire eye. Doing the “wrong” side can actually do the opposite of what you’re trying to do and will close in your eyes and make you appear more tired.
Do Shimmer blushes/bronzers look good on everyone? Unfortunately, no. If you have oily skin or trying to hide something, (scars/acne/etc.) shimmery blush and bronzer will highlight the areas instead of cover them up. Stick with matte blushes and bronzers to eliminate more shine.
Can I get body in my hair just by blow drying it? Yes! A hairstylist taught me this trick years ago and it is golden! Your hair will fall the way you blow dry it. If you point your hairdryer down on your hair, you’re telling it to lay flat, with no body. You want to point the hair dryer up and out. Always remember to keep a safe distance between your hair and the dryer. It takes longer to dry at a distance, but this will keep your hair healthy and not fried!
How do I whiten my teeth without spending a fortune? Hydrogen Peroxide! I pour a small amount onto my toothbrush and brush my teeth as I would with toothpaste. After rinsing, I apply my regular toothpaste onto my toothbrush, pour a little more of the peroxide on top of the toothpaste and brush as normal. You’ll see instant results. Fun Fact: Strawberries naturally whiten teeth as well!
I have acne and certain face washes that are for acne break me out worse. What should I use? You might be allergic to salicylic acid. This is the ingredient in most acne cleansers that claim to help prevent future break outs. (It took me trying out a million different brands to figure this out.) I personally recommend Cetaphil and their products. The products are gentle and skin friendly. I have been using their cleansers for years and I have said good bye to break outs.
My favorite shirt has sweat stains. Should I throw it out or is there a way to remove them? There is a way! Mix lemon juice with a little bit of water and spray graciously all over the stain. Wash as normal after. It might take 2 times but you’ll see improvement.
